Investigating the relationship information content of earnings in firms ، life cycle stages
Abstract
The main purpose of this study ، is to Review the relationship between stock prices and stock return with earning quality using leuz ، barton-simko and penman models in corporates life cycle stages .Analysis of data collected in this study was conducted in two stages. First,firms،member of samples were classified to growth, maturity and decline stages. Then, running pooled cross-sectional regression analysis. the hypotheses were tested during 2004-2009 ، the results of review the65 firmare shown leuz and barton-simko models in growth, maturity and decline stages are significant and penman model regression in growth, maturity and decline stages is unsignificant. In growth stage , the barton-simko model, have the relationship stronger than the model with the leuz with stock price and stock return. In maturity stage,the barton -simko model, have the relationship stronger than the model with the leuz,and have the relationship weakly than the model with the leuz with stock return . in decline stage the leuz model, have the relationship stronger than the barton-simko model with stock price and have the relationship weakly than the model with the barton-simko with stock return .results demonstrate there is a significant differences relationship with models in growth, maturity and decline stages.
